Parents Anniversary

On Thursday, June 24th it was our parents anniversary. They took off early Thurs morning to Denver to see the Red Sox vs. Rockies game at Coors Field. They made the drive in the new Lexus RX350 and enjoyed the trip. They were able to go to batting practice before the game. Clay Buchholz (Sox pitcher) was in the outfield shagging balls and after noticing my mom in the stands, he tossed her a ball. He's cute so my mom was happy and gave him a thumbs up :) Dad tried to catch a homerun ball with one hand as it came soaring 450 feet at him. He ended up bruising his hand pretty bad but we applaud his effort, haha. The game was a great one as the Red Sox got the win after 11 innings and 5 hours of play. They enjoyed their time in Denver and had a fun Anniversary. Thanks Mom & Dad for being such great examples and for having a wonderful marriage! Congrats!

Summertime

It's finally summer and we are enjoying the nicer weather around the house. Cayden is finally out of school for the summer so now he is spending his time at football practice every morning and several times a week at night. He will be helping out doing chores and working with Howie/Jord some. Mom is still at the office even though the kids are out but she will be done for the summer soon. Court is staying way busy with all of the Miss PG stuff and working at the pool (Head Guard...she's a big deal). The royalty just yesterday was on the show, Good Things Utah. My parents both got to go watch and they also spent the day in Salt Lake. They had lunch at the Garden Room in the Joseph Smith Building and they met Elder Snow. It was a fun day for them and I will try to post some pictures soon. Parades are going to be starting next weekend so that will consume our Saturday's from now on. Dad is also crazy busy with being the President of the Strawberry Days Rodeo. It seems like just about every night he has some type of meeting or project at the rodeo grounds. They put in new bleachers and the grounds look better than it has before. The rodeo will be June 16-19 so the family is getting ready for that. Chase and Maggie are both working and taking classes. Chase will be going out to Dugway for his 2 week training starting this weekend for the National Guard. Adalee is changing so much all of the time. It's hard to keep up with her when she is cruising around the house. She is trying to get into things and keeps us all entertained with her noises and excitement. Chase and Maggs took her on a hike and picnic for Memorial Day. Pictures are posted on their blog. Jordan and Chelsey just got back from Lake Powell and trying to play as much as possible in between work. That's a general update on the family....We are looking forward to more summer activities and our vacations to Jackson Hole and Lake Powell as a family. Here are some pics of the recent
happenings--Mom & Dad bought a new table/chairs/umbrella/campchef for the deck. Can't wait for a big BBQ and fun!

Addie Bug

This little girl has our family wrapper around her finger. Adalee Jane is growing up so fast and is crawling all over the place now. She is 7 months old and now that it is summer, we are going to have a lot of fun playing outside with our little Addie bug. Her laugh is contagious and her smile makes us all melt.

Chase sent us this picture from his iPhone.

Her smile and laugh is adorable!

This is Addie on a walk with Grandma Brown

I stole these last two pictures of Chase/ Maggies blog but by the looks of it, I think she's ready for summer!

Mother's Day

Yesterday was Mother's Day and it seems appropriate to share how great our mom is. Cheryl is such a caring, selfless, cute, trendy, and fun mom. She does SO much for our family and she ALWAYS puts the kids' needs first. We love her so very much and really appreciate how much she does for each one of us. THANKS MOM for all you do!

Mom Returns from New York

Mom had the opportunity to go to New York for her spring break. We were way excited for her because she hasn't really gone on any trips by herself since my mom and dad have been married. She went with 2 teachers and 2 secretaries from her school. They took a red-eye flight on Friday and they came back last night, Wednesday. They had a blast and did so much stuff while they were there. It was crazy to call her while she was gone because they literally were out doing everything from sun up to sun down. I will post some pictures of the trip on here soon with more details but some of the highlights were: riding the double decker bus, seeing Wicked on Broadway, being on The Today Show, Natural History museum, Central Park, Harbor tour, Empire State building at midnight, Rockefellar plaza, Grand Central Station, Harlem, Walking the Brooklyn Bridge, lots of shopping on Canal street, Chinatown, being in the middle of a riot and shootings in Times Square, stopping at the Manhattan Temple during conference, and much more. They stayed at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square and had such a fun time. Not to mention, she found so many great buys. We got Coach purses and wallets, Juicy/Chanel earrings and necklaces, Rolex watches, shirts, etc. She of course brought more stuff home for the rest of us and didn't buy too much for herself but we are so glad she had such a fun time. She definitely deserved to have an enjoyable trip but we missed her and are glad to have her home! Pictures to come....

Cayden Asks Megan to Prom

Cayden asked his girlfriend to Prom last night. He was sneaky and sent Megan on a scavenger hunt through our house after they got back from a movie. The clues went from one place to another with posters stating "A girl with a dress also needs..." that had a checklist of items needed for a dance and a picture of her in the dress she bought, "There is one last thing needed... A DATE", and the last poster Cayden had while he was dressed in a suit outside saying, "Megan, Will you go to prom with me? Pictures are below.... It was cute!
